Warmbloods and German Riding Ponies

Almazaan was founded in 2009 as a family-run breeding establishment specializing in top-tier Warmbloods and German Riding Ponies. Our horses are carefully selected from some of the finest imported bloodlines, with a strong focus on both temperament and performance.

Nestled on 105 acres of scenic land in the Adelaide Hills, our horses thrive on rolling hills with lush pastures, native river gums, and natural creek lines. Each horse is regarded as a valued member of our family and is carefully nurtured as they prepare for their future homes.

Initially, our breeding program focused on Arabians and Arabian derivatives, but over time, we have shifted our focus towards producing premium Warmbloods and German Riding Ponies. The bloodlines we use at Almazaan reflect our dedication to international standards of excellence, right here in Australia. German Riding Ponies, in particular, carry a significant amount of Arabian blood, enhancing their distinctive qualities.

The 2019/20 season was a milestone for us with the arrival of our first WB x GRP offspring. By combining the finest imported bloodlines, our goal is to produce performance ponies that are suitable for riders of all ages and disciplines.

We take great pride in the achievements of Almazaan’s offspring, who have found homes across Australia and excelled in a wide range of equestrian disciplines.
