“ZORO” Black Gelding Friesian

Zoro is proudly registered with the Friesian Heritage Horse and Sporthorse International and he is truly stunning from every angle. This handsome gelding is 10 years old and stands a solid 16 hands tall, with the presence and versatility that make him stand out wherever he goes.

Zoro is broke to ride and broke to drive, and he is exceptionally gentle and easy to get along with. Under saddle he is soft, responsive, and well trained—he neck reins, one-step lopes, side passes, and stops right on “whoa.” He will also back up for any distance you ask and consistently picks up his leads with ease.

He’s the kind of horse that fits just about anyone. Zoro will ride double, go bareback, and safely pack the kids around, always staying patient and dependable. He’s been exposed to a variety of obstacles and handles them like a pro—rides with a flag, crosses a tarp, and will even step over to the fence to pick you up.

Zoro has many trail miles and has been primarily ridden by an older lady, which speaks volumes about his safe and trustworthy nature. He is honest, obedient, and the same dependable horse every time you pull him out. Traffic doesn’t bother him and he is not spooky.

He has been ridden into town, confidently crosses water, and will go up, over, around, or through anything you point him at. In rocky creek beds he carefully picks his way through like a seasoned trail horse.

Zoro also has excellent ground manners. He loads right into the trailer, gets along well with other horses in the pasture, and stands quietly for the farrier. On top of that, he has a wonderful personality—he loves attention and enjoys a good cuddle.

This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime kind of horse. Santa Claus may be coming to town, but Zoro is already here.
